Dark Charcoal Shaker Cabinet Refacing: Cream Raised Panel Kitchen

The situation

A homeowner with a traditional cream raised panel kitchen decided it was time for a bolder aesthetic. The original arch-top upper doors, central island, and gold brass hardware had served the kitchen well, but the pale color and formal door style no longer matched what the homeowner wanted. The cabinet boxes and island structure were sound.

Results

Kitchen Cabinet Guys replaced all doors and drawer fronts with a dark charcoal shaker profile, shifting the kitchen from a traditional pale look to a contemporary one with strong contrast. Gold brass bar-pull hardware was installed across all cabinets, creating a deliberate visual pairing with the charcoal laminate. The island structure, original cabinet frames, and kitchen layout were preserved in full.
