The situation

A homeowner in an open-plan home reached out wanting to update honey oak cabinets that were visible from the living area. The dark granite island, tile backsplash, stainless appliances, and hardwood floors were all staying. The ask was to change the cabinet finish only, without any structural modifications.

Kitchen Cabinet Guys replaced all doors and drawer fronts with a white shaker profile and installed black bar-pull hardware throughout. The granite countertops, tile backsplash, stainless appliances, and hardwood floors were retained without modification. With the perimeter cabinets in white shaker, the open-plan kitchen read as lighter and more visually connected to the living space.
